A special session on "The School of Volunteering and Giving" was Organized By The Center of Humanities and Development; and The School of Volunteering,UkaTarsadia University on 16th January, 2019, Wednesday, at PT Hall, CGPIT, between 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The guest and speaker for the session was Dr. Nitin Shah, a pioneer in the field of Volunteering and giving. The presentation was focused on the concept of giving back to society in any possible form and any level possible by an individual.
Dr. Nitin Shah himself being a pioneer in the field of Volunteering and giving took us to the beautiful tour of real life existing volunteers, their generous work, the impact they leave on this society and most importantly the shear satisfaction one derives from the Nobel work. Dr. Nitin Shah also brought us that the concept of volunteering and giving is not only limited to human beings, but also for any living body this art can bring about a 1800 change to someone's life, for instance a dog who lost his one leg was unable to move, but one of the volunteer made a wheel like attachment for this dog out of scrap and as such the dog was seen moving again. The satisfaction on the face of same volunteer was admirable. Lastly Dr. Nitin shah extended us his invitation to join him in the very noble cause at any possible stage, in any possible form.
This presentation was followed by question and answer session with the faculties and students. The students were highly motivated and inspired by sir and many of them were curious about his experiences. Many of them also shared their own story and later on they even approached to enroll with The School of Volunteering team of UkaTarsadia University.
