About the Conference

Three days International conference on " Advancement in chemical & Biological research: Breaking Boundaries and shaping the future" is an event organized for research scholars and young academicians to showcase their research with dynamic and eminent scientists, researchers from across the country. This is a unique opportunity especially for young post graduate and doctoral research scholars to interact with eminent scientists and fellow scholars from different institutions of India. This conference anticipates participants from Industries, research institutes, academia and technology transfer divisions. The scientific session will be consisting of various expert lectures by eminent academicians/ researchers/ Industrial personals, short lectures by students, and poster presentations would also be a part of this event.

About the University

Uka Tarsadia University was established in 2011 by Bardoli Pradesh Kelavani Mandal, with an objective of meeting the growing demand for quality education. University is accredited by NAAC & resived ‘B+’ grade with CGPA of 2.74. The University offers a comprehensive array of academic programs across the disciplines of Management, Commerce, Engineering and Technology, Architecture, Design, Applied Science (Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Biotechnology), Computer Science, Microbiology, Pharmacy, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Physical Education and others that lead students to self-enrichment and productive careers in their respective professions, government, business and industry. About Association of Chemistry Teachers (ACT)

Association of Chemistry Teachers (ACT) founded in 2000 is the national registered organization of Chemistry educators of India. Since its inception the Association has been in the forefront of promoting excellence in Chemistry education through its manifold activities like organization of International and International conferences on Chemistry and Chemistry education, training workshops, Concept Test in Chemistry for BSc students, Research symposium, celebration of International Chemistry Day and International Science Day, newsletter and organization of Chemistry competitions in schools and colleges. ACT plays an important role in the International Standard Examination in Chemistry (NSEC) held in November every year .NSEC is the first stage examination leading to participation in the Indian and International Chemistry Olympiads ACT has over 2600 active Life Members and 20 Institutional Members all over the country. ACT is blessed to have the guidance of the leading chemical scientists and academicians of the country including Bharat Ratna Prof C N R Rao, FRS who are role models for teachers to emulate. About the Tarsadia Institute of Chemical Science

Tarsadia Institute of chemical science (Formerly known as Department of Chemistry) is one of the leading departments in the university, which offers graduate and post graduate courses viz. Bachelors of Chemistry (BSc–Chemistry), MSc (Organic / Pharmaceutical/ Industrial/ Analytical Chemistry) etc. Over the years, Institute has progressed at rapid pace with development in both spheres of infrastructure facilities and academic programmes. The Institute is also having facilities to pursue the student for PhD program. The faculties are actively engaged in the field of research on Organic synthesis, Drug discovery/delivery, Dyes chemistry, Polymer sciences, developing bio sensory devices, computational chemistry Etc.

    of Uka Tarsadia University organized Academia – Industry Interface – 2020 (AII-2020) on Friday 13th March 2020 at Pushpam Tarsadia Hall, UTU, Bardoli.
  5. Royal Society of Chemistry Western Zone India: Symposium and Research Scholar Meet- 2019” (RSC – WI – SRSM – 2019) was organised and hosted by Department of Chemistry, Uka Tarsadia University, Surat (Gujarat-India) during 22nd – 23rd February – 2019. This Symposium along with research scholar meet was organised in association with RSC – Western Zone India and The National Academic of Sciences India (NASI).
  6. Department of Chemistry, UTU had
    organised a one day “Workshop for Student Awareness about Start-up to Business” on 18th January 2019.
  7. 54th Annual National Convention of Chemists-2017 jointly organized by Department of Chemistry, Uka Tarsadia University, Surat (Gujarat-India) and Indian Chemical Society-Kolkata during 23rd -25th December –2017.
