Welcome to Department of Physics

About Us

Established in 2015, the department aims to create a world class teaching and research facility in the area of fundamental and applied physics. It offers a 5-year Integrated M.Sc program leading to the degree of M.Sc. (Physics) with an exit option available after successful completion of three years leading to the B.Sc (Physics) degree. Department also offers two years full time M.Sc Program leading towards the M.Sc Physics degree. These programs are designed to prepare undergraduate and postgraduate students to contribute new concepts and technologies, through innovative teaching methods that combine student-faculty interactions, computer-based education, and hands-on experience in well-equipped modern laboratories with an aim of providing the platform for the students to cope up with the global trends. The congruent teaching of heterogeneous subjects under different disciplines gives students an opportunity to learn it in unique way which is a quite distinctive approach at UTU.

Dear friends, Welcome to Department of Physics. The department aims to provide semesterbased course structure and continuous assessment within a flexible and innovative academic curriculum. The key features of the programmes are advanced subjects as well as seminars & projects which boosts self-confidence in students to meet with the challenges at global front. Department aims academic as well as industrial attentiveness in students by encouraging students to go for internship, participating and presenting articles in national and international seminar/workshop/conference, academic and industrial visits.
